Bio:
Christopher Yockey is a sculptor born and raised in metropolitan Detroit who currently lives and works in New York City. He earned his Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art and his Bachelor of Arts from Elmira College. His work has been exhibited internationally, including in Beijing, China, and at institutions such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Slag&RX Gallery, and with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. Yockey is currently an artist-in-residence with the Athena Foundation and serves as a studio assistant to renowned sculptor Mark di Suvero.
