Bio:
Stanton Sears is an artist whose practice builds on years of experience producing public art projects with teams across Minnesota and Wisconsin. His work draws on research into fiber structures, microbiology, mapping systems, and broader cultural and social histories, often translating these ideas into sculptural form.

Now based in Vermont on a working farm in collaboration with UVM research on hemp and flax, Sears explores sustainable fiber production as part of his studio practice. He also teaches hands-on wood-based classes, primarily for children, emphasizing simple tools and accessible materials.

For NBOSS, he continues a series of works focused on spatial descriptions of 3D volumes that generate shifting flat shapes as viewers move around and through them.
