Bio:
Kevin Laverty is an abstract artist living and working in New York City. Born in New Jersey, he earned a BFA from Montclair State University and continued his studies at the Art Students League of New York, where he worked with a range of instructors over many years.

His practice explores the intersection of science, geometry, and a deep reverence for the natural world. Guided by what he describes as “love and logic,” his paintings and sculptures often incorporate geometric structures while maintaining a sense of poetic fluidity. Laverty is drawn to the underlying mathematics of nature as well as its unpredictable, vulnerable qualities, seeking a balance between order and spontaneity in his work.
