Bio:
David Skora grew up in southwestern Michigan in a small town on the shores of Lake Michigan. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from Western Michigan State University in 1980, followed by work as a graphic designer and fine artist in Chicago and later on the East Coast. After moving to Connecticut, he continued working professionally in design and fine art, eventually attending the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he earned his MFA in 1989.

In the early 2000s, Skora began learning welding and transitioned into creating fabricated welded sculpture, a practice he continues today alongside painting and design work. He is currently a professor of Art and Design at Western Connecticut State University. His work has been widely exhibited and is held in numerous public and private collections across the United States.
