Bio:
Christopher Yockey was born and raised in metropolitan Detroit and currently lives and works in New York City. He earned his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a BA from Elmira College. His work has been exhibited internationally, including in Beijing, New York City, the Peace Tower at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Frederik Meijer Sculpture Park, Grand Rapids Art Museum, and various public installations with NYC Parks, 5_50, and Slag Gallery. Yockey is a current artist-in-residence for the Athena Foundation, a member of Socrates Sculpture Park, and serves as artist assistant to Mark di Suvero.
