Bio:
Born in Hoboken, NJ in 1945, Bruce Hasse studied Biology at Rutgers University and later graduated from Pratt Institute in Industrial Design and Photography. His early career included working as a photographic assistant and darkroom technician in New York City. After moving to Vermont in 1970, Hasse’s creative career expanded into photography, jewelry-making, woodworking, carpentry, and teaching in dental labs and microelectronics. Since 2019, he has focused on sculpture and assemblage, crafting nonrepresentational, evocative works using wood, metal, plastic, glass, and salvaged materials.
