Bio:
Laurie Sheridan was raised by her grandparents on a former dairy farm in Connecticut, where she participated in subsistence farming through her teens before relocating to Florida for high school. She studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art and Boston University (minoring in political science), later earning her BFA from Parsons School of Design in New York City.

Her career began in scenic arts for film and mural painting across Atlanta, New York, and Los Angeles. After years based in New York City, she has exhibited widely and received honors from institutions across the U.S. and internationally, including exhibitions in Malta.

In recent years, Sheridan transitioned from expressionistic painting and printmaking into sculpture, using natural, ephemeral, and repurposed materials. Her sculptural work explores the relationship between humans and nature, hybrid forms, and ancient symbolism within the collective unconscious, with international exhibitions and residencies across Europe.
