Bio:
Kestrel Osman is a sculptor based in southern Vermont whose work explores how fine art can become part of the ecosystem and support the growth of habitats. Inspired by the wrinkles and scars of old-growth trees and the ways the human body heals and carries memory, she creates three-dimensional collages using ceramic, steel, wood, and stone. Osman allows the inherent qualities of each material to guide the final form, creating sculptures that encourage viewers to look beyond themselves and appreciate the interconnected ecosystems and small lifeforms that sustain the natural world.
