Bio:
Bill Botzow is an artist born in New York City in 1945. He received a private education through primary, secondary, and college levels, earning a degree in Art and Archaeology. His early career included living and working in Lower Manhattan and East Harlem, followed by several years in Odd, West Virginia.

From the late 1970s onward, he moved across the United States—including West Virginia, Vermont, Arizona, Oregon, Montana, and Colorado—before settling in Pownal, Vermont, in 1982. Over the course of more than five decades, he has worked in a wide range of rural jobs, volunteered with numerous organizations, and served in the legislature.

Botzow has exhibited extensively in galleries, museums, art spaces, and public environments for over 56 years. His practice spans drawing, painting, and more recently, sculpture that engages with natural environments and forested landscapes. He has contributed work to NBOSS since its inception.
