George LeMaitre and Patricia Fietta

Artist Full Name: George LeMaitre and Patricia Fietta
Based Out Of: Adams, MA
Bio:
Husband-and-wife artist team George LeMaitre and Patricia Fietta began their collaboration in the San Francisco Bay Area, where they launched Ayme Lente, a small home products company creating original floor cloths, decorative boxes, and small paintings. They relocated to the Berkshires ten years ago after purchasing and renovating a 12,000 sq. ft. mill into their studios, home, and gallery space.

George focuses on sculptural works and is adept in a wide range of materials, using whatever best serves the idea. He has explored various themes and styles and values the collaborative process.

Patricia began as a painter and transitioned into mixed media with her exhibit A Possible Unknown Civilization at the Sierra Arts Gallery in Reno, NV. There, she explored "Fictive Art," expanding into photography, ceramics, beadwork, plaster cast sculpture, and spoken word. Her series Evolution/Extinction introduced skeletal forms of fictitious extinct creatures—Artist Bone, the collaborative kinetic sculpture submitted to NBOSS, is derived from that series.
