Bio:
Michelle Post is a self-taught painter, sculptor, and printmaker whose artistic education has developed through mentorships, apprenticeships, and collaborations with artists she admires. Building on her natural talent and dedication to the arts, she has continually expanded her skills through hands-on experience and creative exchange.
In 1986, Post joined the Johnson Atelier Technical Institute of Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey, where she immersed herself in a community of artists and further developed her sculptural practice. Sculpture has since become the primary focus of her artistic work.
In 2024, Post opened The 1910 Building, a contemporary art gallery located in Jacksonville, Vermont, within her studio and living space. The gallery showcases artists from the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions and serves as a destination for contemporary art.
Post has been a consistent participant in the North Bennington Outdoor Sculpture Show since 2017, exhibiting her distinctive styrofoam and fiberglass sculptures, many of which can now be seen on the grounds of The 1910 Building.
