Bill Botzow is an artist based in Pownal, Vermont. Born in New York City on September 29, 1945, as World War II ended, he received a private education through college, graduating with a degree in Art and Archaeology. After time in lower Manhattan and East Harlem, he lived in Odd, West Virginia, before moving around the country—West Virginia, Vermont, Arizona, Oregon, Montana, and Colorado—eventually returning to Vermont in 1982. Bill has held various rural jobs, volunteered extensively, and served in the state legislature. He has exhibited in galleries, museums, art spaces, and public venues for over 56 years. His work spans drawing, painting, and more recently, sculpture that embraces the forest.
